Ingredients
  

  • 3 tbsp yellow mustard seeds
  • 3 tbsp brown mustard seeds
  • ¼ cup white wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp honey or sugar

Method
 

  1. Start by placing yellow mustard seeds and brown mustard seeds in a small bowl.
    Add white wine vinegar and water. Stir well and allow seeds to soak for about 5 minutes.
    Transfer soaked mixture into a small saucepan.

  2. Add mustard powder, salt, garlic powder, and honey.
    Heat over low heat while stirring continuously for about 3 to 5 minutes until mixture thickens slightly.
    Remove saucepan off heat.

  3. Crush seeds lightly with a spoon or pulse briefly using a grinder if smoother texture is preferred.
    Spoon mustard into an airtight jar and allow cooling at room temperature.
    Refrigerate for best flavor development.
